Another warm day.

OK, so it’s a little rainy today. The crew is out finishing the Aspen Block. The guests enjoyed learning more about the vineyard and the tasks to be done throughout the year.

Natasha served breakfast this morning and visited with the guests. She did a great job.

Pruning

We have started pruning the Natasha and Jordan Blocks today. The crew is working fast without the rain. Would send a picture, but the fog is relatively heavy today so wouldn’t see much.
We will two bud the Camelot Block after this.

The New Year

We are attending the OBBG meeting this week.

We have guest staying with us this week from Philadelphia, Miami, Denver, Los Angeles, and Eugene. It is wonderful having guests stay with us in the “off season” to enjoy the serenity of the Hill.

Vineyard work is progressing well and we will start pruning this weekend. Lots to do. The weather is not too rainy.

We opened up a couple of bottles of 2007s last night. They are developing well in the bottle and opened up well.

We have had such a special 2009 with all our new friends we were blessed to have in our lives.  We wish everyone the happiest 2010 imaginable.

Just kidding

This is what our hill looked like LAST year. Thank goodness we are not seeing this weather this year, although the girls wish it were snowing. And they would like a White Christmas. Guess they will just have to watch the movie. Cheers.

Winter

What a glorious day it is up here on the Hill. Just finishing a wine tasting and then back into the vineyard.

Preparing for Christmas.

It is hard to believe that it is only four days away.

“Tis the season

No not for shopping (yet), for working in the vineyard. The weather is cooperating today to let us stay dry and get more work done before pruning.

The guests just left for the day. We have several wine tasting appointments coming up this afternoon. Unfortunately, the fog has not lifted enough to see our great views. Maybe it will lift later.

Christmas preparations

We are preparing for Christmas by getting as much vineyard work done this week as possible and dodging the raindrops.
